COVID19 measures
Many special measures have been introduced in the museum as part of the “Covid-19” measures decreed by the federal government.
However, online booking is no longer compulsory, so we are happy to welcome you to the museum desk. The time limits and directions of travel no longer apply.
However, once there, we ask you to ensure that you:
- wear a mask as from 6 years
- keep your hands clean and do not touch anything;
- sneeze into your elbow if you don’t have a handkerchief available; if you do, please dispose of them in a closed bin after use;
- take as little as possible with you.
On October 20, the Walloon Parliament adopted the decree on the extended application of the Covid Safe Ticket (CST) in Wallonia. The CST will apply from 1 November 2021, including in museums.
In concrete terms, this means that:
In permanent and temporary exhibitions, the CST is compulsory from the age of 16 (except for school groups).
School groups and their teachers/guides are not subject to the CST.
Group visits (except for school groups), guided or not, are permitted, subject to reservation. The entire group must display the CST without distinction.
What is the Covid Safe Ticket?
Anyone with a negative PCR test less than 48 hours old, a Covid-19 cure certificate or a vaccination certificate can obtain a Covid Safe Ticket.
Where can I get my Covid Safe Ticket?
Online: download your Covid Safe Ticket via the CovidSafeBE application. You can install this application on your smartphone via Google Play Store or App Store.

How is the Covid Safe Ticket checked?
Your Covid Safe Ticket is checked at the entrance to the museum by a person authorised to cross-check the CST with your identity data. We therefore also ask you to show proof of identity at this check. If the CST is not in order or if a visitor/customer refuses to submit proof of identity, the organiser is obliged to refuse access to the persons in question.
